Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 1, 2026 • How we protect your information in clear, simple terms.
LexGo (“we”, “our”, “us”) is an English vocabulary learning platform built for competitive exam preparation. We deeply respect your privacy and are committed to complete transparency. This policy outlines what data we handle and why. By using LexGo, you agree to the practices described herein.
1. Information We Collect & Store
A. On Your Device (Local Storage)
Your core learning progress — including words practiced, bookmarks, quiz scores, daily streak counts, and custom preferences — is stored directly on your phone using high-performance local SQLite databases. You retain full control and can wipe this data anytime in Settings → Reset App.
B. Google Sign-In (Optional)
If you choose to authenticate via Google Sign-In, we receive your basic profile information (display name, email address, and a unique cryptographic user ID). We do not request, access, or store your passwords or contacts. You can sign out at any time.
C. Cloud Backup (Signed-In Users Only)
When signed in, LexGo can sync your vocabulary progress to secure Google Firebase servers so you can restore your streak and saved words if you switch devices. This data is private to your account and is never shared with third parties.
D. Ads & Diagnostic Telemetry
The free version displays contextual ads served by Google AdMob. Google may use standard non-personally identifiable device identifiers according to your device privacy settings. We also collect anonymous crash logs to diagnose and resolve bugs.
E. Website Analytics (LexGo Website Only)
Our website uses Google Analytics 4 only after you tap Accept on the consent banner. It measures anonymous usage, such as pages visited and buttons tapped (for example, download clicks). Analytics assigns a random identifier stored in your browser and never receives your name, email, or advertising ID. IP addresses are anonymized, Do-Not-Track requests are respected, and you can opt out at any time with a browser add-on or ad-blocker, or by clearing site storage to re-show the banner. No analytics data is ever linked to your LexGo app account. When you open a shared word link (for example /word/behemoth), your browser may fetch the public definition from api.dictionaryapi.dev; the requested word is sent to that service per its privacy policy.
2. Payments & Subscriptions
All optional upgrades (such as LexGo Pro) are processed exclusively through Google Play In-App Billing. We never collect, process, or store your credit/debit card, bank account, or UPI details. Google handles all transaction security under their PCI-DSS certified infrastructure.
3. Third-Party Infrastructure
We rely on trusted Google Cloud infrastructure to power our application services:
- Google Play Services: For application distribution, in-app purchases, and security verification.
- Firebase (Google LLC): For secure authentication and encrypted cloud synchronization.
- Google AdMob: For advertising delivery in the free tier.
Each provider operates under its own privacy policy aligned with global data protection standards.
4. Your Rights & Data Deletion
You have full control over your data. You can delete local data instantly in the app under Settings → Reset App. If you wish to permanently delete your cloud account and all associated backups, you can use the in-app Delete Account button or visit our dedicated Account Deletion Page.
Alternatively, you can email us at brijeshdevapps@gmail.com from your registered Google email address, and all server data will be permanently purged within 30 days.
5. Children's Privacy
LexGo is designed for general audiences and competitive exam aspirants. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will promptly remove the data.
